Prime Minister requests Attorney General intervention in registrar general

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley requests the attorney general to intervene in the registrar general impasse in Tobago.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley has denied claims that his Cabinet made any decision to use the Registrar General’s Office to punish Tobagonians for their political choices. The accusations were made by Chief Secretary Farley Augustine, who highlighted significant inefficiencies at the office in Tobago, resulting in delays in accessing birth and death certificates, deeds, and other essential government services. Speaking at a post-Cabinet media briefing yesterday, Dr. Rowley sought to set the record straight.
