Tobago Assesses Hurricane Preparedness After Beryl’s Impact

Scarborough, Tobago – The passage of Hurricane Beryl was an unprecedented event, bringing a wave of uncertainty as countries in the Caribbean, such as Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Jamaica, experienced the full brunt of the storm.
Although Tobago was spared a direct hit, the sheer force of the Category 4 hurricane manifested in torrential rainfall and powerful winds, resulting in power outages, fallen trees, and other minor incidents across the island. In light of predictions for a highly active hurricane season by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service, reporter Joeshel Dann and cameraman Judon Jofield sought public opinion on the effectiveness of Tobago’s response to Hurricane Beryl and its preparedness for the ongoing active hurricane season.
