Scarborough, Tobago – October 7, 2024 – Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley has defended his government’s decision to invest in major hotel developments and the construction of a new airport terminal in Tobago. Speaking at a People’s National Movement (PNM) post-budget meeting on Friday night, Dr. Rowley stated that he is working to position Tobago for a greater role in the national economy.
He dismissed attempts by the opposition to criticize plans for the development of a 5-star hotel on Buccoo Estate, arguing that these projects are essential for the island’s future economic growth. The Prime Minister’s comments underscore the government’s commitment to advancing key infrastructure and tourism projects in Tobago.
