Scarborough, Tobago – PNM Tobago East candidate Ayanna Webster-Roy argued that giving the two Tobago seats to opposing or independent political parties would not be as beneficial as electing a PNM government. She made the statement during a PNM meeting in Goodwood on Saturday.
In contrast, political leader of the IDA, Dr. Denise Tsoiafatt-Angus, offered a different view. Speaking during an interview on the Good Morning Tobago Show, she stated that the two Tobago seats, regardless of which party holds them, carry significant negotiating power in the national political landscape.
