Councillor Petal-Ann Roberts receives instruments of appointment as Secretary of Finance, Trade and Economy.
Councillor Petal-Ann Roberts received her instruments of appointment today as Secretary of Finance, Trade and the Economy. She was accompanied by Chief Secretary Farley Augustine to President’s House in Port-of-Spain for the short official ceremony. Augustine previously held the role of Finance Secretary. Speaking to members of the media after the ceremony, Roberts stated she is both overwhelmed and humbled by the opportunity. However, she noted that it is her desire to serve the people of Tobago that led her to accept the position.
