Former Prime Minister Basdeo Panday is currently in the United States for medical treatment, as confirmed by a statement from his family.
The statement expressed gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and good wishes from well-wishers. It revealed that after consulting with doctors in Trinidad and Tobago earlier in the week, 90-year-old Panday traveled to the U.S. to address undisclosed health concerns. The family expressed appreciation for support from the public and looks forward to a positive and prosperous 2024 for the former Prime Minister.
