Over 4,000 Apply for NEDCO’s Micro and Small Business Grant
August 29, 2025- The National Entrepreneurship Development Company (NEDCO) has announced the closure of its Micro and Small Business Grant Scheme after receiving an overwhelming response of more than 4,000 applications.
NEDCO CEO Calvin Maurice praised the strong interest, especially among youth and women, who accounted for over 61% of applicants. The grant provides up to $20,000 to support small businesses, which make up nearly 90% of registered enterprises in Trinidad and Tobago and employ approximately 200,000 people.
The program has been instrumental in driving innovation and growth across 19 sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, ICT, and entertainment.
Although the application window has closed, NEDCO remains committed to exploring additional ways to support entrepreneurs who were unable to apply this cycle.
