The Tobago Youth Council has officially opened the call for nominations for its 2025 executive elections, seeking a new cohort of young leaders to champion the interests of the island’s youth. The nomination period commences today, August 4th, and will close at 11:59 PM on Friday, August 15th, 2025. Aspiring candidates must be between the ages of 15 and 35 and must be active members of a registered Non-Governmental organisation in Tobago. The council is looking for individuals who can demonstrate strong leadership qualities and a profound commitment to youth development and community service. This election presents a significant opportunity for passionate young Tobagonians.
Following the closure of nominations, the screening process will begin, with shortlisted candidates scheduled to be notified on Wednesday, August 20th. This will pave the way for the official campaign period, leading up to the election day. The final elections are slated for Monday, September 8th, 2025, when votes will be cast to decide the future leadership of the council.
