No payment yet for fishermen
Fishermen still awaiting payment for assistance provided in Gulfstream oil spill response efforts.
Fishermen who assisted with the response efforts to the Gulfstream oil spill are still awaiting payment, more than a month after the THA confirmed receiving $50 million to cover some of the expenses caused by the spill, which should have included compensation for the fishermen. Curtis Douglas, President of the All Tobago Fisherfolk Association (ATFA), expressed disappointment with how they are being treated.
