No Action Against Rowley

The Integrity Commission reaffirms its decision to conclude the investigation into Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley’s purchase of a townhouse at Inez Gate in Shirvan. While he failed to disclose the purchase as required by the Integrity in Public Life Act, the omission was deemed unintentional. The commission maintains that it found no reasonable grounds to suggest Dr.

Rowley made a false statement regarding the townhouse’s value in his income declaration. Nevertheless, they have asked him to amend his declaration accurately. The commission insists it conducted a thorough investigation and rejected claims of bias. They found no criminal offense in Dr. Rowley’s actions and suggested amending the act for better compliance.
