NATUC urges finance minister to allow salary deductions for loan repayments, partners with wiloan for back-to-school loans.
Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – The National Trade Union Centre of Trinidad and Tobago (NATUC) is urging Finance Minister Colm Imbert to allow government ministries to facilitate salary deductions for loan repayments. This appeal comes as NATUC partners with WiLoan, a subsidiary of WiPay, to offer back-to-school loans specifically to union members.
Starting Monday, members of various unions, including the PSA, SWWTU, TIWU, and NUGFW, can apply for loans ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 for school supplies. This initiative aims to make financial assistance for education more accessible, easing the burden on families as the new academic year approaches.
