Moriah, Tobago – July 30, 2025 – A suspect in connection with the recent Moriah shooting incident was apprehended this afternoon in Tobago following a pursuit by the police. At approximately 1:50 PM, police officers conducted a roadblock exercise, where they identified an individual resembling the suspect in a passing vehicle.
Upon being signaled to stop, both the suspect and driver attempted to flee on foot, abandoning the vehicle and running into nearby bushes. Officers quickly gave chase, resulting in the individual’s arrest. The suspect was subsequently transported to the hospital for medical evaluation. Further details regarding the Moriah shooting investigation and the suspect’s charges are expected to be released by authorities.
