Minority Greetings to the President

Representing the minority, Assemblyman Kelvon Morris extended his greetings to President Christine Kangaloo at the special sitting of the Assembly Legislature. He highlighted some of the objectives from the president’s speech at the opening ceremony of Parliament, noting that the minority shared the same sentiments.

Your passion for youth development, keen interest in education at the primary school level and enthusiasm for culture and the arts all align with our vision on this side of the house.” He is hopeful for a newly refurbished President’s house on the island. Meanwhile, he endorsed President Kangaloo’s aspirations regarding the youth and individuals with disabilities.

Assemblyman Morris supported Her Excellency’s goal of establishing the steel pan as the nation’s national instrument. He also stated that the minority is prepared for a transformed House of Assembly. He assured that the minority would serve as advocates and provide positive voices for what is good, necessary, and practicable for the people of Tobago and, by extension, the nation. He also stated that they would continue to promote improved lives and foster unity between the two islands.
