Tobago’s RBC Redemption Sound Setters Youth Academy made their island proud as the lone Tobago band to reach the National Junior Panorama 21 and Under Finals at the Queen’s Park Savannah. Performing “Fete Cyah Over,” the talented young pannists finished eighth with 264 points, tying Heritage Petroleum Siparia Deltones Juniors and Hilltoppers Steelpan Academy. Despite tough competition from bands like BP Renegades Youth Steel Orchestra, which took the championship title with their “Inventor” arrangement, Redemption Sound Setters held their own among the nation’s best. Four bands tied for second place, Desperadoes Youth Steel Orchestra placed sixth, and Fonclaire Juniors took seventh. Twelve bands competed in the final, which took place at the Queens Park Savannah on Sunday, February 2nd.
