July 21st, 2025-Over the past 72 hours, law enforcement officers have significantly intensified their operations, executing 185 coordinated exercises aimed at addressing crime, traffic violations, and the possession of illegal firearms.
According to official reports, a total of 1,185 searches and 94 traffic-related operations were conducted across all policing divisions. These efforts led to the detection of 715 traffic offences and the arrest of 81 individuals, as authorities continue their mission to enhance public safety and strengthen police visibility in key communities.
As part of these targeted initiatives, 70 high-priority offenders were identified and pursued. Officers recovered eight illegal firearms, including four pistols, two revolvers, one shotgun, and one rifle—highlighting the persistent threat posed by illegal weapons. Additionally, authorities seized an undisclosed quantity of cannabis and recovered 47 rounds of ammunition of various calibres: 10 rounds of 9mm, 16 rounds of .380, seven rounds of .38, 10 rounds of 5.56mm, and four 12-gauge cartridges.
Commissioner of Police, Allister Guevarro, commented on the significance of the results, stating, “These outcomes clearly demonstrate that sustained operational pressure can produce tangible results in combating both crime and traffic violations.”
