Tobago Steelbands, Buccooneers and Redemption Sound Setters Secure Spots in Sunday’s Panorama Large Band Semifinals
Two large bands from Tobago made it into the semi-final competition of Panorama. The NLCB Buccooneers Steel Orchestra and RBC Redemption Sound Setters, secured spots in the Panorama Large Band Finals. The bands performed for judges at the Pan Trinbago Large Conventional Bands Preliminaries, with Buccooneers playing Dotish and Redemption Sound Setters performing Flag Woman. Both bands brought energy and precision, which secured their spots in the next round. Leading the semi-finals is Republic Bank Exodus, followed closely by First Citizens Supernovas Steel Orchestra. Neither Buccooneers nor Redemption Sound Setters made it into the top 11 in 2024 but they are both aiming for a strong finish this year, with the semi-finals set for Sunday February 16th at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
