Chief Justice Ivor Archie complains of problems within the judiciary.

Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – Today, the commemoration of the opening of the 2024-2025 Law Term was held at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA). During his presentation, Chief Justice Ivor Archie directly addressed public comments about the judiciary, highlighting the many issues the judicial system faces.

Chief Justice Archie specifically outlined challenges concerning funding, workload, and staffing, which he stated are impacting the judiciary’s operations. His remarks underscored the need for greater support and resources to ensure the continued efficiency and effectiveness of the justice system
