Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation, Tashia Burris was selected to join the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Cruise Tourism Committee. This appointment is expected to provide Tobago with enhanced advocacy in the cruise tourism sector. However, THA Minority Leader Kelvin Morris has raised concerns about the potential benefits of this move for Tobago. He questioned whether or not it would genuinely serve the interests of Tobagonians. He argued that Tobago’s tourism industry is currently in a state of decline.
