How will additional police officers be funded
U.T.P. Political Leader Nickocy Phillips questions how will a Tobago police force be funding under the T.H.A.
With the THA budget statement expected to be read by the end of June, the political leader of the Unity of the People, Nickocy Phillips, is questioning how the THA will fund a Tobago police force. Chief Secretary Farley Augustine announced last month that a community-based police force would be part of building out a Department of Public Safety with the THA. However, Phillips is concerned about how it will impact the Assembly’s financial management, which is already strained by its current financial resources.
