Roxborough youths get a hands-on experience with recycling at T.R.R.I.
Students enrolled in the vacation camp with Roxborough Library Services journeyed to Scarborough today to gain a practical understanding of recycling and its processes. In keeping with the theme of this year’s camp “Save Our Planet”, The students visited the Tobago Recycling and Resources Initiative at the NIPDEC compound in Shaw Park, where they learned how recyclables are processed. Managing Director Shawn Roberts taught the students how to sort plastic bottles and load them into the crushing machines. The students had the opportunity to operate the machines themselves.
