Scarborough, Tobago – The Political Leader of the Unity of the People, Nickocy Phillips, applauded Monday’s high-level meeting involving the Prime Minister, the Chief Secretary, the Minister of National Security, and the administration of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).
The meeting was specifically convened after Tobago recorded its sixteenth murder, an unprecedented and record-breaking high for the island. Despite praising the efforts behind the meeting, Phillips also issued a direct call for the TTPS to improve policing in Tobago, emphasizing the urgent need for enhanced crime-fighting strategies and greater safety for residents.
