A lot of good ideas are coming out of the Division of Education, Research, and Technology but little is being executed. This is according to the Tobago TTUTA officer, Bradon Roberts. Speaking specifically about the Tobago-centric curriculum for students, which was a campaign promise, Roberts says it is an idea he fully supports. But more than a year and a half later, they are yet to see any action taken.
Roberts stresses that many stakeholders are eagerly waiting to jump on board with a Tobago-centric curriculum that will improve education on the island. When reached for comment, Orlando Kerr, Assistant Secretary in the Division of Education, Research and Technology, acknowledged the concerns expressed by stakeholders who are keen to be involved in the Tobago-centric curriculum. He affirmed that stakeholders would be invited in the near future to actively participate in shaping the curriculum’s development.
