Formation of Tropical Depression
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) reports a 90% chance for cyclone formation in the Central Tropical Atlantic. Invest AL97, a low-pressure system near 37°W, exhibits favourable conditions for tropical depression formation in the next few days. It moves west-northwest to northwest at 10-15 knots. Importantly, no immediate threat exists for Trinidad, Tobago, Grenada, or dependencies.
No alerts or warnings are in effect. TTMS continues monitoring and plans to update at 10 a.m. on Friday, or sooner if needed.
