U.T.T. study determines that fishing generate $1.2 billion annually
Fishermen in Tobago generate $1.2 billion annually. These were the findings of a study conducted by the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) on the livelihoods of fishermen in Tobago. The study was sponsored by Shell Trinidad and Tobago Limited, which found it necessary to conduct a proper study of the industry to address claims from fishermen who might be affected by oil exploration activities.
