Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – As Dengue cases continue to rise across Trinidad and Tobago, the Ministry of Health hosted a press conference today to further sensitize the public about this viral infection.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Roshon Parasram shared vital information regarding the dengue mosquito and how it infects people. The County Medical Officer for Caroni, Dr. Jeanine St. Bernard, spoke about the symptoms of dengue fever. Additionally, Specialist Medical Officer in the Insect Vector Control Division, Dr. Osafo Fraser, outlined the various breeding sites for the Aedes aegypti mosquito, emphasizing areas where the public can take preventative action. This comprehensive briefing aims to empower citizens with knowledge to combat the spread of dengue nationwide.
