FCCA Recognition for Tobago Accountant

Scarborough, Tobago – Tobagonian accountant Mikhail Baynes achieved significant recognition at a recent Trinidad and Tobago New Member and FCCA Recognition Ceremony. Standing out among 24 recipients, Baynes was the sole ACCA member from Tobago to be honored with the esteemed Fellow Chartered and Certified Accountant (FCCA) status.

With over 18 years of experience in the field, Baynes is the Senior Partner at Robley Baynes Tax and Accounting Services, a firm he established in 2018 with his business partner, Kendell Robley. The company, which has offices in Crown Point, Tobago, and Chaguanas, notably transitioned to operating as Andersen Trinidad and Tobago in December 2024.

A dedicated advocate for the accounting profession, Baynes actively serves as an Affiliate Advocate to the ACCA Caribbean Local Chapter Trinidad and Tobago executive. He consistently emphasizes the critical importance of continuous professional development (CPD) in the ever-evolving accounting landscape.

Reflecting on his ACCA qualification, Baynes highlighted the necessity of combining both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. He also underscored the ongoing commitment required for ACCA membership, including annual fees and completing 40 CPD hours. Robley Baynes Tax and Accounting Services, now Andersen Trinidad and Tobago, has played a pivotal role in supporting various ACCA initiatives, further solidifying its commitment to professional excellence and the growth of the accounting profession in the region.
