Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – If you experienced challenges with your Facebook, Instagram, or Messenger platforms today, you were likely among the hundreds of thousands of users affected by a widespread outage.
Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger all went down in what appeared to be a significant service interruption at their parent company, Meta. Users found themselves unable to load the apps or websites as normal. On Facebook, affected users reported being logged out and unable to access their accounts, while Instagram services were completely disrupted.
Initial warnings about being logged out led to widespread concern among users, with many fearing their accounts had been hacked. However, the error messages appeared to result from technical problems with Facebook’s login system, not a hack or malicious cyber attack, offering reassurance to millions of users globally.
