Buccoo, Tobago – June 11, 2024 – Stakeholders have collaborated with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard (TTCG) to determine ways to better police the Buccoo Reef Marine Park. Despite published rules and regulations for operations at the park, authorities have found that these guidelines are being frequently flaunted.
This collaborative effort aims to enhance law enforcement presence and compliance within the Buccoo Reef Marine Park, ensuring the safety of visitors and the protection of Tobago’s vital marine ecosystem. Discussions focused on stricter enforcement to address repeated breaches of regulations.
