Education needed to protect elderly
Minister Ayanna Webster-Roy stresses need for education to ensure elderly are protected.
Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for Gender and Child Affairs, Ayanna Webster-Roy, stressed that informed citizens, rather than laws alone, is what is needed for creating a safe and dignified environment for ageing. Speaking at the 5th Town Hall Meeting on Ageing Gracefully and Equally on Monday July 22nd, she addressed the impact of ageism on both men and women and encouraged the public to stay educated on ageing issues and available support.
