Duke Saddened by Changes on Heritage Calendar: Tobago Heritage Festival 2024 Sees Popular Events Excluded

PDP Leader Watson Duke saddened that popular heritage events were left out of 2024’s edition.

Scarborough, Tobago – June 20, 2024 – This year, the Tobago Heritage Festival will go ahead without several highly anticipated events, including the Les Coteaux Tales and Superstitions, Pembroke’s Salaka Feast, and Black Rock’s Sea Festival. Due to funding changes for this year’s festival, some villages opted not to host events, leading to alterations in the traditional calendar.

Watson Duke, Political Leader of the Progressive Democratic Patriots, publicly expressed his sadness over this news. His comments highlight the impact of financial adjustments on cultural celebrations and the disappointment among some in the community regarding the updated Tobago Heritage Festival 2024 schedule.
