Members of the Tobago Gang Intelligence Unit (TGIU), under the direction of a senior officer, intercepted a white Honda Civic near the Scarborough Port at around 9pm on Thursday June 26th. This bust comes following days of surveillance.During a search of the vehicle in question, officers discovered a hidden compartment in the trunk designed to resemble a gas tank. Inside, they uncovered 61 packets of compressed cannabis, weighing a total of 33 kilograms. The drugs are estimated to have a street value of approximately TT$1.15 million. The vehicle, illicit substances, and the suspect were taken to the Shirvan Road Police Station. Investigations are ongoing.
