CXC reports a 76% drop in English and a 36% Mathematics performances across the Caribbean
August 20, 2024 – There was a significant drop in regional performance in Mathematics and English at the CSEC level, according to the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC). Results were released today at 3 PM, and the CXC addressed the performance of students across the Caribbean at a press briefing. They also noted a slight decrease in the performance of CAPE students in Communication Studies and Caribbean Studies. The results highlight ongoing challenges in foundational subjects and the need for new strategies to improve student outcomes across the region.
