May 20, 2025 – The Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport supported a successful Inter-Agency Operational Planning Workshop held on May 13–14, 2025, at its Conference Hall in Tobago. Hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the workshop brought together various national security and emergency response agencies, including the TT Fire Service, Defence Force, WASA, Airports Authority, Customs, T&TEC, TEMA, and others. While the Division provided the venue, its role extended beyond logistics due to its responsibility for managing Tobago’s multipurpose facilities and community centres—key components in the island’s emergency response system. These centres serve as shelters and muster points during crises. The workshop aimed to enhance inter-agency coordination, strengthen operational planning, and foster a collaborative, unified approach to emergency response agencies across Tobago.
