Digicel Foundation Launches Technology in Education Centres Programme in Tobago

March 28, 2025 – The Digicel Foundation, in partnership with Pan Trinbago and RBC Redemption Sound Setters Steel Orchestra, launched its Technology in Education Centres Programme at the Montgomery Pan Grounds. The event celebrated the fusion of culture and technology, bringing digital access to community panyards. Minister of Sport and Community Development Shamfa Cudjoe-Lewis, highlighted the importance of panyards in community development. Assembly members Joel Sampson and Zorisha Hackett highlighted the transformative potential of these spaces for education and technology. Georgina Peterkin of the Digicel Foundation noted the initiative’s aim to prepare youth for the digital world, while Pan Trinbago President Beverly Ramsey Moore stressed the ongoing evolution of the panyard. This initiative will provide crucial technological tools, making panyards vibrant hubs of learning and innovation.
