CXC/CSEC Results Released 2023

In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, Dr. Manning stated that candidacy and subject entries were up significantly this year. She also added that there was a disappointing number of registered students who skipped the test as well. In order to accommodate the e-administration, Dr. Manning added that the timetable and registration period were extended by one week.

According to Dr. Manning, there were significant issues as a result of the CXC Math Paper 2 for 2023 leakage. Thousands of students in the Caribbean were impacted. CXC immediately launched an investigation to determine the source of the leak.

A passing grade in mathematics was earned by 43% of pupils, which is the highest percentage since 2021. While 78% of English A pupils earned grades one to three.

Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, recommended that another ministry make use of government-provided equipment in secondary schools.

As for Trinidad and Tobago’s students in secondary schools, laptops from the government will not be issued. Instead, the government will aim to provide 50 high-quality computers to each school when it revamps the laptop distribution program. CXC results will be available to students online from this evening.

The event came to a close with Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, receiving the 2023 results and the Brotherhood Drummers executing a cultural drum performance.
