This news comes from Orville Dillon, Director of Cruise and Ground Control at the Tobago Tourism Agency Limited, following a significant incident that occurred on Saturday, November 11th.

On that date, the absence of maxi taxi drivers led to the unfortunate cancellation of over three hundred pre-booked tours for passengers aboard the Celebrity Silhouette. This disruption highlighted critical challenges in Tobago’s ground transportation for cruise visitors.

Dillon, speaking on the “Tobago Updates Morning Show,” confirmed that this incident has directly impacted future cruise ship visits, underscoring the need for reliable transport services to support the island’s tourism sector.
