Containing the Spill

TEMA director Allan Stewart provides updates about last week’s hydrocarbon deposits.

The February 7th oil spill has been cleaned up along the coastline of the affected areas. What is being done currently is the extraction of the hydrocarbon-like substance from the Gulfstream vessel. However, this has proven to be difficult at times due to weather conditions and rough seas. Last Week, the Office of the Chief Secretary reported that hydrocarbon deposits were seen near Cove from the vessel. Director of the Tobago Emergency Management Agency Allan Stewart appeared on the Tobago Updates Morning Show and shared how this situation was handled.
