Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – The timeline for the launch of a new regional ferry service has moved up. Connect Caribe, a private-sector-led initiative aimed at improving sea transport in the Caribbean, announced yesterday that after entering into a partnership with Jampur Group, a shipping conglomerate based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, they could begin cargo shipping as early as August of September 2024. This partnership is set to significantly enhance connectivity and trade within the region.
