Trinidad and Tobago Collaborates with Ghana to Boost Trade Linkages to Africa

June 17, 2024 – Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley stated that Trinidad and Tobago’s recent engagement with Ghana aims to expand opportunities in that market and set the foundation for this country to boost its trade linkage to the wider African continent, particularly West Africa.
The recent Trinidad and Tobago Trade Mission to Ghana in March 2024 comprised 50 representatives, including 23 private sector companies. These companies spanned various sectors, such as Food and Beverage, Chemicals, Printing and Packaging, Textiles, Banking, Information and Communication, and financial services. This initiative underscores Trinidad and Tobago’s strategic efforts to diversify its trade partners and strengthen economic ties with Africa.
