Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – Minister with responsibility for Gender and Child Affairs, Ayanna Webster-Roy, has called for the Children’s Authority of Trinidad and Tobago to become the best version of itself.
Speaking at the appointment of the new Chairman, Marsha Bailey, on September 19th, 2024, the Minister stressed the urgent need for improved child protection services. She outlined a “whole of government” approach to ensure coordinated and efficient service delivery for children, with a focus on kinship care and enhancing staff synergy. Webster-Roy praised previous leaders and encouraged Bailey to guide the Children’s Authority in a new direction, assuring that resources would be available to support these vital efforts. The event took place at the Office of the Prime Minister in St. Clair.
