Businessman sues Police Commissioner for return of seized firearm and license after forgetting ammunition magazine in travel pouch while travelling to Tobago.

Jerome Chung, a businessman, is suing the Commissioner of Police to return his registered firearm and firearm user’s license (FUL), which were seized after he inadvertently left a magazine with 13 rounds in his travel pouch while travelling to Tobago. The incident occurred on November 24th 2021. At a virtual hearing this morning, the Commissioner’s attorneys requested six weeks to respond, which Chung’s attorneys agreed to, expecting the items to be returned.
