September 29, 2025- Amid ongoing questions over who holds responsibility for the Division of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities, and Transportation, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine stepped in to clarify the situation.
Earlier today, Augustine held a press conference to provide transparency and explain the current arrangements. Under the announcement, Secretary Tashia Burris will continue overseeing Tourism and Transportation, while Assemblyman Zorisha Hackett has been temporarily assigned responsibility for Culture, in addition to her duties as Secretary of Education.
The Chief Secretary emphasised that the move is intended to maintain continuity and support key sectors ahead of upcoming events and initiatives on the island.
