According to the Communications Unit of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), 34-year-old Ezekiel Phillip of Bon Accord, Tobago, has been charged with the murder of Djan Melville, who was set on fire on January 8, 2025.n The victim, who sustained severe burns, succumbed to his injuries on January 17, 2025, at the Port of Spain General Hospital. Phillip’s arrest followed an investigation initiated after the victim was found engulfed in flames. The victim was initially transported to the Scarborough General Hospital by emergency medical personnel before being transferred to Port of Spain. Phillip is set to appear before a Magistrate on Monday, January 27, 2025
