T&T Bureau of Standards opens office at Colessium Mall in Crown Point
Crown Point, Tobago – The Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards (TTBS) opened its office in Crown Point earlier today, marking a significant step towards increased testing and monitoring of services and goods produced in Tobago.
Minister of Trade and Industry Paula Gopee-Scoon stated that the TTBS opening is one of the direct outcomes of ongoing conversations between the business community, the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), and her Ministry, all aimed at enhancing the private sector on the island. This new presence is expected to strengthen local businesses’ ability to meet national and international quality standards, potentially opening new opportunities for trade and export.
Reporter Kandace Jackson has the details on this development and its implications for quality assurance and economic growth in Tobago.
