T&T defence force meets with T.E.M.A to boost humanitarian and disaster relief efforts.
Scarborough, Tobago – Captain Douglas Archer and Warrant Officer II Helen Bain of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Reserve (TTDFR) met with TEMA Director Allan Stewart to discuss enhancing their partnership. The meeting took place on Monday.
The focus of the discussion was on improving coordination for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR). The Defence Force and the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) reaffirmed their shared goal of effectively handling future emergencies. Over the years, the Defence Force, in collaboration with TEMA and other divisions, has been vital in disaster recovery, including the repair of homes, roads, and infrastructure. This commitment aims to bolster Tobago’s resilience and overall disaster preparedness.
