Reports of blackouts in communities across Tobago
Scarborough, Tobago – Many communities across Tobago, including Pump Mill, Buccoo, and Bon-Accord, were left in darkness last night due to widespread power outages. This follows similar electricity issues reported in parts of eastern Tobago last Thursday.
The blackouts are happening as T&TEC workers are holding ongoing protests. The workers are calling for better working conditions, especially a fix for the state of their vehicles. They have warned that if the situation is not resolved, the island’s electricity supply will continue to be affected.
