Best Friend of Joseph Beris to Face Indictable Charges

Following police investigations, a17-year-old best friend of murder victim, Beris Jospeh, who is also from Golden Lane village, was charged with his murder. The teenager was formally charged on Sunday, January 19th, and appeared before the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 20th, before reappearing earlier today. The teenager was not permitted to plead and is scheduled to appear in court again on February 18th. On Saturday, January 4th, the body of 15-year-old Beris Joseph was discovered in the Mount Hay area, located between Patience Hill and Black Rock. He was Tobago’s first murder for the year 2025
