March 6, 2025 – The conversation surrounding Tobago’s role in the National Carnival continues to gain traction, with several critics voicing their concerns and recommendations. One such voice is Marcellin Nedd of Marcellin Nedd & Associates, a seasoned Carnival stakeholder who has been actively participating in the National Carnival since 2003 with her own indigenous Tobago band. One of Nedd’s primary concerns is the persistent lack of funding from corporate and government agencies, which she believes hampers Tobago’s full participation nationally.
