Despite complaints from fishermen affected by the oil spill, Finance Secretary Petal-Ann Roberts assured that the THA is doing its best to provide relief. She explained that, based on expert advice, compensation will come from the International Oil Pollution Compensation (IOPC) Fund. In the meantime, the THA will distribute $2 million in relief to more than twenty vetted fishermen.
