Her Honour Deborah Thomas-Felix, the President of the Industrial Court, has acknowledged a significant backlog of industrial cases in Tobago that requires urgent attention. She explained that the COVID-19 pandemic was a primary cause for delays in resolving many such disputes on the island.

“It is my intention to make arrangements after discussions with the learned Chief Justice to hold a sessions in Tobago next year to determine some of these disputes,” stated Justice Thomas-Felix.
